Thanks for your prayers

Little Anna is doing better today. She is resting and her color looks much better than earlier this week. They still have her on the C-PAP, which is helping her breathe easier. She hasn't been sleeping much, though, so pray she can find a way to sleep despite all the poking, prodding, suctioning, etc. It's crucial for her health! There are also still signs of an infection, though one has not been specifically identified.

Praises:
1. Heather and Chad are doing really well, considering Noah and I are not home very often. They have been blessed with care and love from many family members and friends! The kids have maintained a good schedule and seem to be doing great. We are so thankful for the ability to go to and from the hospital so freely.

2. Noah's job has given him tremendous flexibility right now, and he will not have to travel during the entire time Anna is in the NICU - at a minimum. If Anna comes home around Christmas, there is a natural lull for a few weeks in his work schedule where he could take more time off to help with the transition.

3. There are so many things "going right" within Anna's little body: (1) her blood-gas ratio (proportionate levels of oxygen and carbon dioxide in her blood) is stable, meaning Anna's breathing, though assisted, is effective, (2) the doctors have resumed feeding her breast milk through her feeding tube (when she's not busy pulling the tube out!), (3) the latest brain ultrasound indicated no continued bleeding in the brain (since the initial grade-2 bleed), (4) the spinal tap went smoothly and no immediate threats were found in the fluid, which had less blood in it (from the brain bleed) than was expected, and (5) she continues to be aware of her surroundings.
