Anna Joy is doing really well developmentally!
Here are some things that Anna can do:1. She can lift her head while on her tummy
2. She responds to our voices!
3. She smiles...a lot!!
4. She coos
5. She follows objects across her field of vision
6. She can bear weight on her legs
7. She can roll from her tummy to her back both directions!
8. She can do a mini push-up!
9. She can bring her hands together and bat at toys!
10. She can hold her head steady
She is just below the 3rd percentile for length, weight, and head circumference based on her original due date. This week she had an eye appt. and it went really well. She is not showing any signs of ROP and her eyes are appearing normal right now. In the future they will be watching for crossing of the eyes as the eye muscles continue to develop.
Tomorrow Anna's nurse will be coming to weigh her. I am praying that she'll have a good weight gain since the last weigh-in, meaning she is not only feeding for feeding's sake, but she is continuing to absorb and digest (she has had some issues with this lately). She really is a great baby! Anna is always smiling at us and loves all the attention she gets from her brother and sister. We are so grateful that the Lord has protected Anna Joy and given us the pleasure of taking care of her!

So good to hear about the eye appointment. She is truly doing remarkably well considering all the odds that were stacked against her from the beginning! I can't believe all the milestones she's crossed already! Good job!!!
